Following the first step of logging in you will receive a verification call on your cell phone providing a verification code necessary to complete the process. This is a common technique used for online banking. While we cover our end in terms of security, we can never be sure if our VIP members’ PCs have been compromised by malware, viruses or key loggers.

For example, infiltration of a key logger in a VIP member’s computer can gain unauthorized access to and steal email user names and passwords, credit card data, social security numbers and any other private identity and financial information. This is only the beginning. The possibilities are endless and can ultimately destroy one’s identity.

This same scenario can take place when a provider or agency seeks to verify a hobbyist through his handle on a review board such as Preferred 411. Private log in data can be compromised by a key logger who has hacked a hobbyist’s PC and then used as a reference in the verification process.
